This role involves conducting on-site audits of heating engineers, primarily within the Southern England region. The position offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate from your home or a location that aligns with your needs and those of the business. However, proximity to the Havant office is essential for training and meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities- Foster strong relationships with employees at all levels, promoting a culture of engagement.
- Conduct technical and health & safety audits of field operatives across Southern England, utilizing established auditing systems and processes.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to action owners.
- Assist the Lead Technical Auditor in implementing health and safety initiatives, including the development of processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Identify and report on compliance issues.
- Offer guidance and support to operational managers regarding HSEQ information, including forms and templates.
- Deliver concise and accurate status reports.
- Perform skills assessments and specific audits for new engineers.
- Stay informed about changes in trade and health & safety legislation.
- Support operational managers in training and testing operatives for safety compliance.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Significant experience in the gas industry, with prior auditing experience considered an advantage.
- Essential ACS qualifications, with commercial gas, oil, and solid fuel qualifications being beneficial.
- Current certifications in Gas CCN1, Cenwat, Htrs, and Ckrs, with a willingness to pursue additional qualifications.
- A minimum of ten years' experience in the gas sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a valid UK driving license.
