Position Overview:
The Gas Compliance Assurance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within the gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong relationships across all organizational levels to cultivate a culture of collaboration and engagement.
- Conduct technical and health & safety audits of field personnel throughout Southern England, utilizing established auditing frameworks.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to individuals responsible for action items.
- Assist the Lead Technical Auditor in implementing health and safety initiatives, including the development of processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Identify and report on compliance levels within the organization.
- Offer guidance and support to operational managers regarding forms, templates, and HSEQ information completion.
- Deliver clear, factual, and precise information in status reports.
- Perform skills assessments and specific audits for newly recruited engineers.
- Stay informed about changes in trade regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Support operational managers in training and evaluating personnel for safety compliance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Essential experience in the gas industry, with prior auditing experience considered advantageous.
- Required ACS qualifications; additional qualifications in commercial gas, oil, and solid fuel are beneficial.
- Current certifications in Gas CCN1, Cenwat, Htrs, and Ckrs are mandatory, with a willingness to pursue current oil (101, 105e, 600a) and commercial gas (CoDNCo1, CDGA1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1a & TPCP1) qualifications.
- Commitment to obtaining IOSH Managing Safety, Fire Warden, and First Aid training.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in the gas industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and possession of a full UK driving license.
- Previous auditing experience is a plus.
