This role involves conducting on-site audits of heating engineers across the Southern region of England. The position allows for flexible working arrangements, enabling you to operate from your home or a location that aligns with your needs and those of the organization. However, it is essential to be within a reasonable commuting distance for training and meetings as necessary.
This is a full-time, permanent role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. In return, we offer a competitive salary of approximately £35,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a company vehicle and petrol card, plus an array of excellent benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster strong working relationships with employees at all levels, promoting an engaging workplace culture.
- Conduct technical and health & safety audits of field operatives throughout Southern England, utilizing established auditing systems and processes.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to action owners.
- Assist the Lead Technical Auditor in implementing health and safety initiatives, developing relevant processes, procedures, forms, and documentation.
- Identify and report on compliance issues.
- Offer support and guidance to operational managers, including the provision of forms, templates, and completion of HSEQ information.
- Deliver concise, factual, and accurate status reports.
- Perform skills assessments and specific audits for all new engineers.
- Stay informed about changes in trade and health & safety legislation.
- Assist operational managers with the training and testing of operatives to ensure safety compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in the gas industry, with previous auditing experience considered advantageous. Essential qualifications include ACS certifications, with commercial gas, oil, and solid fuel qualifications being a plus. Current certifications such as Gas CCN1, Cenwat, Htrs, and Ckrs are required, along with a willingness to pursue current oil (101, 105e, 600a) and commercial gas (CoDNCo1, CDGA1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1a & TPCP1) certifications. Candidates should also be willing to work towards IOSH Managing Safety, Fire Warden, and First Aid training. A minimum of ten years of experience in the gas industry is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a full UK driving license.
