Quality Control Inspector - Machine Shop

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Wärtsilä. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect components at various stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Raise non-conformances and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and other teams to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform dimensional inspections using hand tools and potentially CMM programming
  • Communicate with Supply Quality Assurance Engineer on quality issues
  • Attach correct labeling to storage cartons and pallets
  • Store product in warehouse and update inventory on the system
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Mechanical and electrical component inspection experience
  • Basic mechanical inspection tools and dimensional inspection hand tools
  • Knowledge of FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 9001
  • Experience in a production or engineering environment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures
  • Mechanical/assembly aptitude and ability to read and understand drawings
  • Minimum of 5 years mechanical inspection experience desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and flexibility to work across Logistics Operations teams
