Overview of the Role:
The Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR) was established for insurers in 2018 and extended to all other firms in 2019 by the PRA and FCA. The Individual Accountability Framework (IAF), which includes the Senior Executives Accountability Regime (SEAR), was launched in Ireland and enhances the existing Fitness and Probity Regime (F&P Regime) to align more closely with SMCR. Aviva operates numerous regulated entities that must adhere to these frameworks. The Individual Accountability Regime Office serves as Aviva's 'Centre of Excellence' for individual accountability, offering support and expertise to ensure compliance with all relevant individual accountability frameworks across the Aviva Group, specifically IAF and SMCR.
This role within the IAR Office will focus on Ireland and the Conduct Rules, assisting the Heads and Managers of the IAR Office with IAF/SMCR regulatory obligations, processes, controls, and reporting. A critical aspect of this position will involve conducting regulatory due diligence to facilitate entry into relevant roles and/or applications to the appropriate regulatory body.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience in financial services, preferably within a regulatory context. Proven track record of establishing and nurturing stakeholder relationships and teamwork. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond proactively as priorities and requirements evolve. This includes being comfortable working at a fast pace across multiple businesses and priorities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including presentation capabilities and proficiency in IT systems.
