The Role

The T31 Courseware Development Manager is responsible for managing and directing a team of courseware designers to produce Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) compliant documentation for our customer within a standardised design process.

This role requires strong management and communication skills, with the ability to work with a wider team of subject matter experts to coordinate the gathering of necessary technical data, the integration of media into courseware and courses, and the delivery of courseware to training deliverers across a range of different delivery sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the work of a team responsible for the analysis, design, maintenance, review, and production of DSAT Documentation & processes for our Customer's training sites and organisations.
  • Interview SMEs to collate required data and participate in internal workshops to discuss and agree findings from analysis.
  • Work closely with other SMEs within the team to define and deliver the training solution.
  • Conduct and maintain Training Design in response to new training requirements, including those arising from New Capabilities, to ensure that training satisfies operational / workplace performance requirements.
  • Update Training Design materials to incorporate relevant recommendations and feedback from internal and external assurance, to ensure that training remains up-to-date and satisfies operational / workplace performance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to provide accreditation for new and/or amended training as designed, and/or any amendments or implications for existing accreditations following Training Design changes.
  • Conduct Training Design Reviews of all training courses at least every three (3) years and the maintenance and update of the design of training courses to ensure that such training courses are up to-date and that they satisfy relevant operational / workplace performance requirements.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels both internally and within the customer organisation.
  • Experience in the development and delivery environment and have contributed to the design of significant training courses.
  • A good working knowledge of the training design and development processes for training media.
  • Experienced and capable of working within a team.
