About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Construction Manager to join our project delivery team at Jacobs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, directing, and monitoring day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that all contractors are coordinated and working effectively to the delivery program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate a workforce of multi-disciplined tradesmen and subcontractors;
  • Manage projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015;
  • Develop Safe Systems of work and RAMS;
  • Procure materials to ensure the continuation of work for the workforce;
  • Engage and develop strong relationships with client managers, Jacobs workforce, and the construction team;
  • Manage and take hands-on ownership of delivery from inception to completion, prioritizing safety, schedule, and cost to deliver benefits to the wider Jacobs;
  • Ensure delivery teams adhere to the Client and Company requirements and the Company's policies and processes;
  • Report progress and issues to Senior Leadership.
Requirements
  • A recognized qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or Equivalent);
  • SMSTS 5-day course qualification;
  • NEBOSH qualification is preferred;
  • CSCS Black Manager's Card or equivalent;
  • Experience in the construction of commercial buildings and offices;
  • Hands-on Construction Management Experience in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015;
  • Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector;
  • Ability to obtain a minimum level of SC Clearance;
  • UK driving license and right to work in the UK.
