We are looking for a skilled Architectural Technician to join our team at Jacobs Defence and Security, providing design and engineering services for our nuclear and defence clients across the UK and abroad.

About the Opportunity:

We are experiencing exciting growth and long-term prospects within our established practice, and we are looking for a career-minded Architectural Technician with transferable skills who are passionate about developing themselves and meeting new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of architectural design, assessment studies, and technical documentation through all RIBA stages
  • Technical and professional guidance, support, and development of the necessary design work
  • Communication and co-ordination with other design team members
  • Assisting in the delivery of complex design projects
  • Attendance of technical and non-technical meetings to report and present technical issues
  • Adherence to business and quality management systems, operational and design safety, and developing a good safety culture

What You'll Need:

  • Broad experience in industrial and/or highly regulated design sectors
  • Good all-round technical design expertise to British and international regulations and standards
  • Experience in the preparation and delivery of drawing packages and key project deliverables for complex building projects
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team
  • Good level of proficiency in BIM Level 2 and Autodesk Revit
  • Preferably CIAT registered
