About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for the supervision, direction, and monitoring of day-to-day operations on site, ensuring that all contractors are coordinated and working effectively to the delivery program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating a workforce of multi-disciplined tradesmen and subcontractors;
  • Preconstruction development of programs;
  • Safely delivering projects across the site;
  • Managing projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015;
  • Developing Safe Systems of work and RAMS;
  • Engaging and developing strong relationships with client managers, regulators, and other stakeholders, including internal Jacobs management;
  • Managing and taking hands-on ownership of delivery from inception to completion, to deliver client benefits and achieve or improve upon set objectives of time, cost, safety, and quality;
  • Reporting back project progress to the wider delivery team, Project Managers, and Project Directors.
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in construction (C&G/Degree/HNC/HND or Equivalent);
  • CSCS Black Manager's Card or equivalent;
  • SMSTS 5-day course qualification;
  • NEBOSH qualification is preferred;
  • Experience in delivering construction projects in excess of £10m;
  • Ability to influence and lead teams;
  • Experience in construction of commercial buildings and offices;
  • Hands-on Construction Management Experience in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2015 and experience as a Principal Contractor;
  • Experience in the Nuclear and Defence sector;
  • Ability to obtain a minimum level of SC Clearance;
  • UK Driving Licence and Ability to Work in the UK.
