Senior Financial Reporting Manager

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join a dynamic and growing Construction and Engineering company in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a progressive accountant to take on a challenging role that focuses on managing statutory accounts and audit processes for multiple UK entities and one foreign subsidiary.
Key Responsibilities:- Statutory Financial Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with appropriate reporting GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Legal Entity Documentation: Ensure all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately, maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting: Review and analyze monthly/quarterly local and group reports, including income statements, cash flow, and balance sheets, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Variance Monitoring: Track and monitor variances between group/segmental and legal entity reporting, ensuring complete and accurate statutory results.
- Audit and Financial Reporting: Carry out audit and financial reporting in all jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Internal Control and Governance: Prepare and review analysis/reports for internal control requirements, ensuring effective governance and risk management.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with internal and external organizations, including external auditors, local accounting teams, and other group and local functional teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
This role requires a strong technical accounting background, preferably gained in a Top 10 Practice or a large and complex business. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
