Job Title: Senior Financial Reporting Manager
Job Summary:
Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join a dynamic and growing Construction and Engineering company in the UK. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing the statutory accounts and audit process for multiple UK entities and one foreign subsidiary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Statutory Financial Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements complying with appropriate reporting GAAP, ensuring all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
- Financial Analysis: Review monthly/quarterly local and group reports & presentations, including consolidated and individual income statements, and analysis of performance vs forecasts and budgets.
- Variances and Reconciliations: Monitor and track variances between group/segmental and legal entity reporting, and review significant variances and accounting movements ensuring complete and accurate statutory results.
- Audit and Financial Reporting: Carry out audit and financial reporting in all jurisdictions, and prepare and review analysis/reports for internal control requirements.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with internal and external organisations, including external auditors, local accounting teams, and other group and local functional teams, to ensure that the statutory legal entity position is properly reflected in the accounting systems.
- Complex Analyses and Reconciliations: Prepare complex analyses and/or reconciliations, as required.
Requirements:
We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical accounting background, preferably gained in a Top 10 Practice, but also open to candidates who have performed technical financial accounting and reporting roles within other large and complex businesses. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
