This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accountant to take on a challenging role that will focus on managing the statutory accounts and audit process for multiple UK entities and one foreign subsidiary.
Key Responsibilities:- Statutory Financial Reporting: Prepare statutory financial statements complying with appropriate reporting GAAP, ensuring all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
- Financial Analysis: Review monthly/quarterly local and group reports & presentations, including consolidated and individual income statements, cash flow and balance sheets on a monthly and YTD basis, and analysis of performance vs forecasts and budgets.
- Variances and Reconciliations: Monitor and track variances between group/segmental and legal entity reporting, review significant variances and accounting movements ensuring complete and accurate statutory results, and reconcile and liaise with the tax department regarding disclosures.
- Audit and Financial Reporting: Carry out audit and financial reporting in all jurisdictions, prepare and review analysis/reports for internal control requirements, and liaise with internal and external organisations as required.
This role requires a strong technical accounting background, preferably gained in a Top 10 Practice or other large and complex businesses. The ideal candidate will be a UK resident with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
