Job Description for Senior Financial Manager

As a key member of the National Nuclear Laboratory team, the Senior Financial Manager will play a crucial role in driving financial performance and strategy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of financial professionals to provide financial services to the business
  • Develop and deliver insightful financial reporting and performance analysis to inform key operational and commercial decisions
  • Ensure the supported area is operating in line with all relevant accounting and financial policies and processes
  • Participate in major contract negotiations and provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis and management information
  • Hold operational management accountable for financial performance and drive long-term efficiencies and cost savings

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with demonstrable post-qualified experience
  • Ability to obtain SC level security clearance
  • Capital accounting experience
