Job Title: Accommodation and Housing Officer

Our client, a reputable organization based in Brixton, is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have excellent experience working in social housing, with a strong background in tenancy management, customer service, and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of 350 properties, ensuring timely maintenance and repairs.
  • Deal with low to medium level anti-social behavior (ASB) incidents, applying effective resolution strategies.
  • Implement efficient void property management, aligning with allocation policy and procedures to minimize rent loss and costs.
  • Coordinate the allocations process, including nominations, mutual exchanges, and transfers, maintaining accurate records on the Housing Management System.
  • Provide exceptional tenancy management services, ensuring tenants adhere to agreements and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Conduct new tenant visits, mutual exchanges, and termination of tenancies, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social housing, with a focus on tenancy management and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply effective conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet changing priorities.
