Job Summary:

James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled Housing Officer - Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring the smooth operation of our housing management systems, and providing exceptional customer service to our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patch of 350 residential properties, ensuring timely maintenance and repairs
  • Deal with low to medium level Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) incidents, working closely with tenants and other stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Ensure the effective management of void properties, minimizing rent loss and other costs
  • Manage the allocations process, including nominations, mutual exchanges, and transfers, ensuring the integrity of our housing management systems
  • Provide tenancy management services, ensuring tenants adhere to agreements and resolving any disputes
  • Conduct new tenant visits, mutual exchanges, and termination of tenancies, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in social housing, with a strong understanding of housing management systems and regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to deal with difficult tenants and resolve conflicts
  • Experience of managing medium to low level ASB incidents, with a focus on de-escalation and resolution
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with tenants, colleagues, and other stakeholders
