Job Title: One-to-One Learning Support Assistant

Surbiton High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-to-One Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a specific pupil transitioning to Year 8. In this role, you will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the School Nurse to ensure the educational, social, and emotional needs of the pupil are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to the pupil, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring the pupil's needs are met.
  • Monitor and record the pupil's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive support network.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
