The Role: One-to-One Learning Support Assistant (1:1 LSA)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide individualized support to a Year 8 student. This role involves working closely with the student, class teachers, SENCO, and School Nurse to ensure their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored learning support to a specific pupil transitioning to Year 8.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and School Nurse to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Provide academic assistance, guidance, and encouragement to the student.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for the student.
- Monitor the student's progress and report back to relevant staff members.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with students with learning needs.
- A strong understanding of educational principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A patient and supportive approach to working with students.
