Job Title: One-to-One Learning Support Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide tailored support to a specific pupil transitioning to Year 8. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and the School Nurse to ensure the educational, social, and emotional needs of the pupil are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to the pupil, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, as needed.
- Monitor and report on the pupil's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness.
- Support the pupil in developing social and emotional skills, including self-awareness, self-regulation, and relationships.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Knowledge of child development, learning theories, and special educational needs, preferably with a relevant qualification.
