Job Summary

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Workplace and Assurance/Quality Manager to lead our Skills Academy team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality apprenticeships and maintaining a sector-leading quality assurance and improvement system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Assurance and Improvement: Develop and implement a quality assurance and improvement system that ensures the provision of high-quality apprenticeships.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of instructing staff to ensure company and national contracted requirements for development are met, maintaining at least OFSTED Good status.
  • Performance Management: Develop and manage direct reports, providing expert coaching skills and inspiring confidence in others.
  • Administrative Support: Supervise and support administrators on management information-related tasks.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Provide expert knowledge of ESFA compliance requirements to remove single-point-of-failure risk.
  • Personal and Team Development: Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality, and be a great team player.

Requirements

  • Professional Qualifications: Hold appropriate professional training qualification or equivalent.
  • Assessment and Verification: Possess appropriate assessment and/or verification qualifications.
  • Communication and Influencing: Demonstrate good levels of literacy and numeracy, proven presentation skills, and good communication skills to be understood by a range of audiences.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Show expertise in developing and managing a high-performing team, with the ability to inspire confidence in others.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Be fluent in the development and use of metrics.
  • Security Clearance: Be willing and able to obtain and maintain the correct security clearance for this role.
