Job Overview

Position: Commercial Assurance and Interface Manager

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Compensation: £77.20/hr (Umbrella) MAX

Contract Duration: Initial 18 Months

Security Clearance Required: SC & UK Nationality

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of SC Clearance
  • Experience in a Defence organization or a commercial role within the public sector
  • Strong background in Commercial operations
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel
  • Familiarity with construction projects is advantageous
  • Proven Stakeholder Management skills

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist teams in achieving the strategic objectives of Commercial Excellence
  • Provide governance, reporting, systems, and processes to the Strategic Commercial and Procurement operations teams
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, enhancing awareness of the Commercial Management function
  • Deliver standard and tailored business reports, analyses, and materials for performance metrics and reviews
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities within the scope of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and legislative commitments through the development and maintenance of Commercial Management processes and guidelines
  • Create and deliver relevant training materials
  • Uphold high standards in safety, health, security, and quality while being a collaborative team member

Key Duties:

  • Exhibit positive behaviors aligned with the company's standards for environmental sustainability, safety, health, security, quality, and ethics.
  • Be prepared to undertake additional reasonable duties as required by business needs.
  • Provide strategic support for assurance activities, focusing on regulatory and mandatory requirements.
  • Guide and mentor the Commercial sub-function on effective risk and compliance management.
  • Support governance and reporting for risk and compliance, ensuring accountability and escalation of issues.
  • Represent the Commercial sub-functions in external relationships with government bodies and regulators.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit processes, providing necessary materials and ensuring actions are completed.
  • Utilize Spend Analytics to generate insights that inform business budgeting and decision-making.
  • Define processes and tools for managing spend data, ensuring accuracy for analysis.
  • Translate data and analysis into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Support informed decision-making in procurement by providing market intelligence.
  • Design and implement reporting for procurement activities aimed at enhancing data visibility and quality.
  • Collaborate with category management and business analysts to establish metrics and KPIs for high-quality reporting.
  • Contribute to best practices in management information production and reporting tools.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in a Commercial role within a defence organization
  • Experience in a Commercial role within the Public Sector
  • Solid background in Commercial operations
