AWE is seeking a Compliance and Risk Management Specialist to join its Governance, Risk & Compliance Team within the Capital Engineering function. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing an enhanced assurance model to oversee one of the most exciting and extensive infrastructure build programmes in Europe today.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent assignments of varying scope and complexity in a cross-functional environment
  • Work with the other team members to identify and define the interfaces between these roles and work to ensure activities are conducted efficiently and effectively
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key people across the business, including those within One Engineering, Safety, Quality, Environmental, Security
  • Educate people on intricate subjects, facilitating comprehension and relevance to their job role
  • Work flexibly in response to changing organisational needs and be willing to undertake any other duty in line with the level of the job as may be required
Requirements
  • Educated to Degree level with relevant experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Delivery focused, with proven track record of delivering on expectations
  • Confident, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • A good appreciation of risk and the application of the hierarchy of risk control
  • Previous experience working on large scale infrastructure delivery projects
  • Risk and control, governance, and/or compliance experience
  • Previous experience working within a highly regulated environment (desirable)
  • Experience of developing and implementation of digital transformation (desirable)
