We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Logistics Coordinator to enhance our operational capabilities. The successful candidate will assist in all facets of demo instrument logistics, including collaboration with the applications team to identify demo needs, managing internal inventory requests, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with external carriers and freight forwarders.

The ideal candidate will be innovative, forward-thinking, and eager to propose initiatives that enhance departmental efficiency and improve internal communication. While experience in a logistics setting is advantageous, comprehensive in-house training will be provided.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating, scheduling, and managing the administration and physical handling of all demo equipment.
  • Packaging SPT Labtech products and fulfilling orders for any additional requirements accompanying demo instruments.
  • Overseeing the shipment of all demo instruments, ensuring accurate supporting documentation is prepared.
  • Maintaining the demo inventory area and updating instrument tracking calendars.
  • Preparing rooms and equipment for virtual and on-site demonstrations, training sessions, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborating with service teams to ensure necessary maintenance activities for equipment are completed.
  • Processing invoices and addressing invoice-related inquiries.
  • Assisting with shipping and customs clearance questions.
  • Supporting general administrative tasks, such as filing and document tracking.
  • Providing occasional assistance to the Stores functions, including work order kitting support and perpetual cycle counts.
  • Offering instrument packing support as needed.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of sensitive and personal information.
  • Adhering to Company Policies, including Health and Safety protocols.

Skills & Attributes:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, and customs clearance processes, or a willingness to embark on a career in logistics.
  • Awareness of changes or restrictions related to Brexit is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in project management or inventory management.
  • A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and collaborative working environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A conscientious, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with a readiness to learn various tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong academic performance at GCSE / A-Levels or B-Tec equivalents.
