We are in search of a highly skilled and dedicated Finance Manager to become part of our client's seasoned finance team, overseeing daily financial operations.

The Finance Manager will take charge of all financial matters within the organization, ensuring precision, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role that necessitates an ACA qualification. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in finance, exceptional attention to detail, and the capability to contribute to the growth and success of our family-run enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable,
  • Oversee payroll processes,
  • Handle General Ledger Management,
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to financial standards,
  • Manage cash flow, monitor budgets, and provide financial forecasts to aid business planning,
  • Develop and oversee the company's budgeting process, collaborating with management to establish financial targets,
  • Monitor and predict financial performance against budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements,
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and suggest actions to align with financial objectives,
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and tax obligations.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process by offering financial insights and recommendations,
  • Support decision-making through financial data analysis and trend evaluation, assisting in guiding the company's growth and investment strategies,
  • Assist in the financial assessment of new business ventures and capital investments,
  • Collaborate closely with the management team to align financial goals with overall business objectives,
  • Provide financial training and support to team members as necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA qualified (Essential).
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, ideally within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a family-run business setting.
  • Self-driven, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Salary:

  • £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on experience.
