We are in search of a highly skilled and committed Finance Manager to become a part of our client's proficient finance team, overseeing daily financial operations.

The Finance Manager will take charge of all financial dimensions of the organization, ensuring precision, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position that necessitates an ACA qualification. The ideal candidate will possess a robust finance background, exceptional attention to detail, and the capability to contribute to the growth and success of our family-run enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable,
  • Oversee payroll processes,
  • Handle General Ledger Management,
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements,
  • Ensure accuracy and adherence to financial standards,
  • Manage cash flow, monitor budgets, and provide financial forecasts to aid business planning,
  • Develop and oversee the budgeting process, collaborating with management to establish financial objectives,
  • Monitor and predict financial performance against budgets, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiency enhancements,
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and propose actions to align with financial targets,
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax obligations.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Contribute to the strategic planning process by offering financial insights and recommendations,
  • Support decision-making by analyzing financial data and trends, guiding the company's growth and investment strategies,
  • Assist in the financial assessment of new business opportunities and capital investments,
  • Collaborate closely with the management team to align financial goals with overall business objectives,
  • Provide financial training and support to other team members as necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA qualified (Essential).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a family-run business environment.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Salary:

  • £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience (DOE).
