We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join Spencer-Richardson as a Finance Director. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the finance function of a well-established and long-standing family-owned business in the travel hospitality sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's financial health and stability, while overseeing the execution of day-to-day finance and accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Director will lead a team of 3 and be responsible for advising on financial strategy, creating and managing the annual budget, and ensuring all financial targets are met.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading the finance function in a business with revenue north of £35m-£40million, and will possess strong leadership skills, financial analysis and accounting proficiency, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. They will also have the ability to provide sound advice to the Executive team and identify opportunities for growth.
The Finance Director will be responsible for:
- Creating budgets and building annual financial plans
- Monitoring cash flow
- Leading the finance function and ensuring an efficient day-to-day running of the finance operation
- Providing financial analysis and advice to the Executive team
- Managing the Finance team and developing individuals
- Reporting monthly, quarterly, and annually to the Senior Leadership Team
The successful candidate will be a positive and proactive individual with a can-do attitude, who is able to support the Executive team in driving the growth of the business. They will also have experience working within a family-owned business, preferably in the travel hospitality sector.
