Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Treasury and Financial Planning, taking charge of Yorkshire Housing's 30-year financial strategy, a vital document that directs our growth and strategic initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Long-Term Financial Strategy: Oversee and update Yorkshire Housing's comprehensive financial plan, ensuring alignment with the organization's growth and strategic objectives.
  • Providing Financial Insights: Deliver insightful analyses to the Treasury Team, Finance Team, and broader organization to support informed decision-making. Your analyses will be essential in refining our financial strategies.
  • Conducting Financial Modelling: Perform detailed financial modelling, scenario analysis, and option evaluations to enhance business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Supporting Treasury Initiatives: Collaborate with the Head of Treasury to implement the Group's Treasury Strategy, ensuring financial stability and resilience.
  • Facilitating Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Treasury Analyst to ensure ongoing cash flow forecasting aligns with the long-term financial strategy. Identify and address variances to uphold financial integrity.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a comparable position.
  • Exceptional communication skills to articulate complex financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle intricate financial challenges and provide actionable insights.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills to effectively challenge assumptions and drive decisions.
  • A track record of building and maintaining successful relationships with senior stakeholders.
