Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a HSEQ Advisor to enhance our client's team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the health and safety of all personnel, contractors, and visitors on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
As a HSEQ Advisor, your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national health and safety regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments across various sites, identifying potential hazards, and developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Creating, reviewing, and updating health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and implemented effectively.
  • Leading investigations into workplace incidents, preparing detailed reports, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Designing and delivering health and safety training programs for employees and contractors, ensuring all personnel understand their responsibilities.
  • Performing regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards, addressing any non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring all employees are trained and conduct regular drills.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all health and safety activities, including risk assessments and training logs, and providing regular performance reports to senior management.
  • Staying informed about industry trends, new regulations, and best practices to enhance the company's health and safety performance.

Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally within the construction or building services sector.
  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent health and safety qualifications.
  • PTS qualification.
  • A strong understanding of health and safety legislation, risk management, and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

This position may require travel to various sites and the ability to work in diverse environments, including office settings and active construction sites.
