Your Role

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be essential in achieving our growth targets while ensuring our customers have access to a diverse range of products at competitive prices. You will assist in formulating the promotional strategy for your category over the next 3-6 months, ensuring that pricing accuracy is maintained across all platforms. Your relationship-building skills and negotiation expertise, combined with your analytical mindset, will enable you to implement various strategies that drive sales and profitability. Your responsibilities will include optimizing the product assortment, taking into account the in-store experience and its influence on both customers and store staff. Collaborating with the Product Development (PD) team and global sourcing will be vital in establishing quality standards for our private label products. In this fast-paced setting, you will demonstrate your problem-solving capabilities and manage administrative tasks and sample oversight efficiently.

You are a seasoned professional with a background in procurement, ideally within a retail context, and possess a thorough understanding of product selection, market dynamics, and the importance of commercial insight. Your strong analytical and numerical abilities, paired with excellent communication and organizational skills, empower you to contribute effectively to range optimization, pricing precision, and promotional initiatives. You excel at fostering relationships with suppliers and negotiating successfully while collaborating with cross-functional teams. With a proactive problem-solving approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, you play a pivotal role in enhancing sales, ensuring product excellence, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
