Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students, tailoring your approach to meet their unique mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Offer immediate support during challenging situations, helping students navigate difficult emotions.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on students' progress and collaborating on strategies for continued support at home.
  • Work closely with teachers and teaching assistants in classrooms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children in a mental health or educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for the wellbeing of children.
  • Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
