Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students, addressing their unique mental health needs and promoting positive wellbeing practices.
- Collaborate with educational professionals to develop and implement strategies that foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Offer immediate support and guidance to students during challenging situations, helping them navigate difficult emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Maintain open communication with parents, providing regular updates on students' progress and working together to develop strategies for continued support at home.
- Support teachers and teaching assistants in classrooms, promoting a positive and productive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
- Experience working with children in a mental health or educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy for the well-being of children.
- Experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
