About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EHS Advisor to join our team at Kirby Group Engineering. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support on all aspects of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide EHS guidance and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain the Kirby management system for EHS, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of incidents and near misses.
  • Coordinate all EHS matters within project management teams, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans.
  • Report constructively on EHS matters to project managers and site managers, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Support the EHS Manager in providing training and guidance to project teams, including contractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on EHS performance, including KPIs and trends.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate EHS risks, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in EHS management, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Construction Regulations and CDM roles.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with EHS management systems, safety schemes, and tendering.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate EHS risks.
