About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to children and young people with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health needs, working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, drawing on a range of evidence-based interventions and therapies.
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide a seamless service, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing to the development of care plans and strategies.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, Registered Occupational Therapist, Registered Children's Social Worker).
  • Current registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GSW).
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices.
  • Experience of working in a community setting, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work effectively with children and young people, families, and carers, promoting a collaborative and supportive approach.
