Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong background in corporate banking to join our team at Barbara Houghton Associates. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of relevant experience in a relationship management role within a financial institution.

This position is designed for those who are not at a senior level but are eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

  • Support the Corporate Banking Division in achieving its strategic goals and performance targets.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Banking and team members to enhance communication with both Chinese and international clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial products and services.
  • Advise clients on their financial needs, negotiate terms, and structure tailored solutions, including the preparation and presentation of credit proposals and analytical reports.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, addressing a variety of inquiries and requests.
  • Initiate credit proposals and manage the entire credit approval process, including liaising with the Head Office when necessary, and oversee post-lending management for the assigned credit portfolio.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance or Accounting.
  • Fluency in Mandarin.
  • A solid understanding of corporate financing and banking products.
  • Familiarity with EU Syndicated Loans.
  • Experience working collaboratively with colleagues across different time zones.

This is a full-time role requiring a minimum of four days in the office each week.
