About the Role

As a Service Management Specialist at QinetiQ, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports the Product Owner in providing expertise and capabilities to the IT Services function. Your role will involve planning, executing, optimizing, and maintaining Service Management processes and practices to deliver high-quality services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and operate enterprise-standard Service Management practices and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and optimized for IT teams' adoption and use.
  • Work with Product Owners and their teams to ensure appropriate Service Strategies are in place and the Operational Readiness of new or changed IT Services.
  • Identify the need for and support the implementation of Service Improvement Plans and Problem Resolution.
  • Facilitate and oversee Early Life Support for new or changed services implemented by the Enterprise Product teams.
  • Provide input into Architectural Governance Boards validating Service Management considerations.

Requirements

  • Strong level of experience of Service Management within complex technology environments.
  • Extensive experience of using and optimizing ITSM tooling.
  • Experience of working in scrum teams in an agile development operating model.
  • Experience working with Information Technology Projects and Programmes.
