Job Summary

The Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Recovery Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the care of clients with high-level At Risk Mental State (ARMS) within the ARMS Service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the care of high-level ARMS clients within the ARMS Service.
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in line with NICE guidelines and National Early Intervention (EI) Access and waiting time standards.
  • Manage risk and collaborate with team colleagues to support service users.
  • Contribute to the mission of the ARMS Service by empowering individuals and their families to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent with evidence of further study.
    • Registered with NMC, Social work England or HCPC.
    • Mentorship or equivalent qualification.
    • Evidence of personal and professional development in contemporary mental health.
  • Desirable:
    • Certificate in a psychotherapeutic/psychosocial intervention.
    • Training in use of CAARMS (Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental State) assessment tool.
    • Family Intervention training.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Essential:
    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of psychosis.
    • Excellent knowledge and understanding of young people's mental health.
    • Excellent knowledge of Early Intervention National Guidance.
    • Excellent knowledge of the importance of physical health management in mental health.
    • Excellent knowledge and skills in risk management.
    • Varied mental health experience.
    • Maintain own mandatory training and undertake other training as required.
    • Understanding of recovery and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP).
    • Awareness of trust policies.
  • Desirable:
    • Understanding of Ultra high risk/At risk mental state.

  • Essential:

    • Able to work in a variety of community settings.
    • Current driving licence.
    • Ability to travel across sites efficiently and across Trust boundaries to attend meetings, etc.
    • Punctual and flexible across hours of work when required.
    • An awareness and understanding of lone working and ability to adhere to local policy at all times.
