About Op COURAGE

Op COURAGE is an NHS specialist mental health service designed to support serving personnel transitioning from military life, reservists, armed forces veterans, and their families. We provide a range of services, including psychological assessment and intervention, trauma therapy, substance misuse support, and connections to other NHS mental health resources.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our dedicated Op COURAGE team. As a Principal Psychologist, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to veterans and their families facing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of veterans' mental health needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities such as CBT, EMDR, CPT, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to veterans and their families.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in the veteran's care.
• Contribute to service development initiatives within Op COURAGE.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Psychologist with the HCPC.
• Experience working with veterans or individuals experiencing trauma is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, CPT, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
