Charity People is excited to collaborate with a leading charity in search of an exceptional LGBTQ+ Youth Support Coordinator to aid in the planning, development, and support of their community projects.

This charity is dedicated to empowering children and young people, ensuring they have the necessary support for their health and happiness. They work closely with parents, caregivers, educational institutions, policymakers, and the youth themselves to maintain their status as a premier provider of early intervention services in Surrey.

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ youth, including isolation, bullying, and familial conflict, the charity is committed to fostering environments where these young individuals can find acceptance and community.

The LGBTQ+ Youth Support Coordinator will play a crucial role within the LGBTQ+ team, overseeing project implementation and ensuring the successful fulfillment of funding agreements. This position involves building partnerships with LGBTQ+ organizations and creating safe spaces for youth to express their identities, connect with peers, and enjoy engaging activities.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery to Youth
* Engage with young individuals through group activities and one-on-one sessions to inspire and motivate.
* Assess the needs and strengths of referred youth, assisting them in setting personal goals for positive change in collaboration with families and professionals.
* Manage a caseload of children and young people, some with complex needs.
* Facilitate the planning and execution of LGBTQ+ sessions, ensuring consistent support is provided to participants.
* Collaborate with the LGBTQ+ team to involve young people in the planning, execution, and evaluation of youth programs.
* Ensure parental and caregiver involvement in the planning and evaluation of peer support initiatives.

Impact Monitoring and Reporting
* Utilize goal-oriented outcomes and monitoring tools to assess the effectiveness of services provided to youth.
* Compile written case studies to demonstrate the impact of individual interventions.
* Assist the LGBTQ+ team in enhancing service delivery and expanding program reach.
* Support the team in generating accurate and timely reports for internal management and funding bodies, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative data.

Professional Development and Additional Duties
* Participate in regular case reviews with the line manager.
* Stay informed about best practices, legislation, and policies affecting service delivery.
* Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
* Attend training and supervision sessions as agreed upon with the line manager.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid UK driving license and have access to a vehicle. An advanced DBS check will be required upon appointment, along with references.
