Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Finance Underwriting Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to manage the Credit Underwriting team, delivering effective underwriting, and implementing the appropriate risk appetite and effective changes of policy & procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Loan Application Analysis: Analyze, assess, and make decisions on loan applications within a robust mandate structure.
- Credit Workflow Oversight: Provide oversight of credit workflow and manage daily volumes of applications to deliver excellent services within SLA's.
- Credit KPI Monitoring: Monitor Credit KPI's across the portfolio and consider a balance between returns and risk exposure.
- Credit Reporting: Assist with the preparation of credit reports for management committees and wider stakeholder environment, with presentations of portfolio analytics and initiatives.
- Client Liaison: Improve the liaison with Sales, Client Services, Collections, and other internal teams and introducers to optimize the client experience.
- Compliance: Fully comply with all online training, including all AML and Regulatory requirements.
- Credit and Underwriting Experience: Strong credit and underwriting experience in motor finance / asset finance.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to interpret financial statements and management accounts.
- Reporting and Excel Skills: Strong numeracy, reporting, and Excel skills.
- Project Management: Previous project management experience with an ability to deliver to clear and defined expected outcomes.
- Credit Underwriting Experience: Experience within credit underwriting, ideally in the motor finance industry.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Able to communicate at all levels with attention to detail.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter, capable of working individually or as a part of a team.
- HNW Experience: Experience of working with HNW individuals.
- Technical Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and to explain technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
