Position: Senior Credit Manager – Underwriting – Asset Finance
Campion Pickworth, a prominent specialist finance provider, is seeking a Senior Credit Manager to join its underwriting division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Credit Officer and Head of Underwriting in fulfilling organizational objectives through meticulous, prompt, and thorough underwriting, collaborating closely with the broader Credit Management Team.
- Conduct effective risk-based evaluations and compliant decision-making for loan applications, particularly focusing on complex borrowers and ensuring favorable customer outcomes.
- Support the Credit Management Team in reviewing and executing credit and risk strategies, facilitating training and knowledge sharing, seamlessly implementing policy and procedural changes, and upholding high standards of customer service.
- Exemplify a positive 'can-do' attitude and contribute to the development of a unified Credit Management team that showcases collective expertise, professionalism, and maturity within a dynamic and diverse environment.
- Analyze, evaluate, and document compliant credit decisions for loan applications within a robust mandate framework, adhering to the Senior Credit Manager mandate level.
- Oversee credit workflow to ensure the delivery of exceptional services within Service Level Agreements (SLAs), addressing any capacity needs as they arise.
- Monitor Credit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the portfolio, balancing returns with risk exposure.
- Assist in the preparation and review of credit reports for management, committees, and designated third parties.
- Enhance communication and collaboration within the broader Credit Management function while improving relationships with other internal departments to optimize the client experience.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in credit and underwriting within the motor finance or asset finance sectors.
Proficiency in interpreting financial statements, management accounts, and individual financials to assess affordability requirements.
Strong numerical, data-driven, reporting, and Excel capabilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with customers, the credit team, and management.
Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
