Mandarin Speaking Bridging Finance Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mandarin speaking Bridging Finance Underwriter to join our team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire lending process from application through to drawdown, including oversight of the underwriting and due diligence processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Action new lending requests for bridging loans and analyse credit worthiness
  • Prepare detailed credit proposals for submission to the Credit Committee
  • Preparing offer documentation and ensuring all loan conditions are met throughout the drawdown process
  • Underwrite and approve loans against agreed lending criteria
  • Handling broker calls on specific cases under review; manage customer expectations
  • Liaising with internal departments (Legal, Risk and Sales) and external parties (Surveyors, Solicitors and Customers) to effectively manage the lending process

Requirements:

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
  • Proven working experience within the BRIDGING AND / OR DEVELOPMENT FINANCE sector and will previously have held an UNDERWRITING MANDATE
  • Ability to structure transactions based upon market sector, asset and security
  • Creative thinker and willing to work in an agile growing company
