Key Responsibilities- Underwrite loan applications in line with our credit policy framework, ensuring that all lending decisions are made in a responsible and risk-aware manner.
- Analyse and assess clients' credit worthiness and vehicle valuations, providing recommendations for lending decisions that balance risk and reward.
- Develop and implement lending solutions for complex borrowing structures, working closely with our sales and client services teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Prepare and present credit reports and portfolio analytics to senior stakeholders, including the Head of Underwriting and Chief Credit Officer.
- Liaise with internal teams, including sales, client services, and introducers, to ensure seamless communication and optimal client outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry developments, ensuring that our underwriting practices remain compliant and best-in-class.
- Proven experience in credit and underwriting, preferably in the motor finance or asset finance industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and management accounts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and a deep understanding of their financial needs and expectations.
