About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at the Cabinet Office. As a key member of our Facilities Management Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day management of our world-class facilities, providing exceptional customer-focused services to our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective line management of the Housekeeping Team and communication with site-based contractor staff.
- Ensure value for money when procuring activity and ordering consumables.
- Responsibility for maintenance regime and assets belonging to the building.
- Regular checks of the facilities and action where required.
- Support onsite facilities inspections, floor walks and service audits.
- Proactively monitor work orders.
- React to day-to-day queries, triage colleague queries responding in a timely manner or referring them to the right team or self-service channels.
- Deliver an experience that is professional, friendly, and attentive at all times.
- To anticipate the needs of colleagues.
- Act as the out-of-hours emergency contact to ensure Business Continuity and be the first point of contact for dealing with accommodation issues and maintenance.
Requirements
- Workplace and/or facilities experience and be a member of the IWFM - The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management.
- Proven record of delivering quality FM services in high-profile buildings.
- A problem solver, and great at building connections.
- You will enjoy the art of service, and be looking to progress your career within Facilities.
- Strong interpersonal and line management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work effectively across a range of tasks and under pressure.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with core competencies around delivering service excellence.
- Must be able to identify and resolve issues, and to meet and exceed expectations.
- Must be highly proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
What We Offer
- A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace.
- Alongside your salary of £38,250, Cabinet Office contributes £11,081 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
