As the

Accounts Assistant


you will manage various accounting functions, including handling purchase and sales ledgers, overseeing credit control, and addressing client inquiries within the department.

Working as part of a small, effective finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the maintenance and administration of the purchase ledger.
- Coordinate processes related to the purchase ledger and post purchase invoices.
- Generate supplier payment runs within the system.
- Issue invoices according to three billing cycles.
- Create credit and debit notes.
- Reconcile direct debit payments.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and post cash transactions.
- Set up client direct debits.
- Manage nominal ledger tasks.
- Follow up on overdue payments.
- Address incoming queries within the department.
What You Need to Succeed:

- A well-rounded individual who thrives under pressure and pays attention to detail.
- Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
- Familiarity with Sage 50 is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS, XLOOKUPS, HLOOKUPS, and SUMIFS.
