Associated British Ports (ABP) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Property Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Property Development team, you will play a crucial role in the development process of ABP's strategic land holdings, appraising viability and deliverability.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Lead Property Asset Manager in sourcing new sites and opportunities, focusing on technical aspects and appraisal of sites.
- Identify and support due diligence on new site acquisitions.
- Work with the external planning team to promote sites through the planning process and manage non-development planning matters across the region.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and viability appraisals.
- Support the Lead Property Asset Manager in all aspects of the marketing process, from managing the marketing team to disposal.
- Collaborate with the overall Project Manager and consultant teams as Property Lead on development projects, ensuring they are developed in line with market expectations and maximizing value to ABP.
- Lead and manage property funding opportunities.
- Work with stakeholders on the management of property asset disposal.
- Previous, proven experience in cradle-to-grave property development.
- Demonstrable knowledge of and ability to manage the end-to-end development process from a technical perspective.
- Proven experience in the appointment and successful management of consultants.
- Proven experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
- Comprehensive understanding of the UK planning process and laws.
- Excellent networking skills, capable of operating in varying cultural environments in a development process.
- Analytical skills, capable of articulating and reporting using business and financial metrics.
- Able to interpret complex information and data.
- Ability to undertake development appraisals, with sound experience of Argus Developer.
- Full driving license.
