About the Role:

The Property Management Accountant - South will be responsible for owning the end-to-end property accounting processes, costs, and income for a set of properties. This includes ensuring all processes, from Property Budgets to Annual Reconciliation, are done on time and accurately, and that all property costs and income are accurate and timely accounted for.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be accountable for the monthly reviews on Income and Expenditure at a property level, including R&Os, driving financial accountability with Senior Estates Managers.
  • Support the production of the monthly regional management accounts, including KPI reporting and variance analysis on P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Own and manage all accounting processes and activities related to a specific set of properties.
  • Provide financial support to Estates Delivery Senior Managers.
  • Champion a continuous improvement approach across finance.
  • Be responsible for the production of Annual Charging Schedules and Annual Reconciliation within corporate deadlines.
  • Ensure the recovery of costs from customers is in line with company policy (Irrecoverables, Self Occupied, Vacant unfunded, etc).
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of business operations and governance/legal frameworks, a good working knowledge of using Qube Horizon and Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, internal relationship management, experience in Property management accountancy or other relevant experience, and a qualified accountant or other relevant financial qualification. They will also have commercial and financial acumen, data-driven decision-making, financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
