This exciting opportunity is for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join a well-established community service, subject to ongoing development.

The successful applicant will be part of an integrated team, comprising nursing staff, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, and medical professionals. They will require a good understanding of mental health conditions affecting older adults and be able to manage a caseload under the supervision of a senior nurse and, in some cases, allied professionals.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the promotion and ongoing development of the community psychiatric nurse service in all aspects of mental health care in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of patients with mental health conditions affecting older adults.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Assist with the development and promotion of the community psychiatric nurse service.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the service, subject to ongoing development.
