Salary: £75,000 - £85,000

Overview: Fusion People Ltd is seeking a seasoned Technical Leader to drive technical excellence and support our mission to become the UK's leading technical solutions provider. Our innovative thinking and agile working enable our customers, communities, and people to thrive.

Role Description: As a Technical Leader, you will be a senior member of the Technical Management team, overseeing the delivery of effective design and technical management across multiple projects. Your focus will be on the pre-construction phase design processes, ensuring projects are set up technically to reduce on-site engineering challenges and cost uncertainties.

  • Overall technical responsibility for the pre-construction phase design processes within your region/projects.
  • Set up and monitor technical strategies and deliverables plans for all projects.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate design and technical risks.
  • Introduce relevant specialists to project teams at appropriate times.
  • Align consultant deliverables and fees with project pricing, procurement, and construction requirements.

  • Project: Project Director/Regional Director
  • Functional: Technical Director

Manages:

  • Technical Managers and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: BEng or MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Building Services degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in a design-related building services engineering role.
  • Project Value Experience: Comfortable managing projects with MEP values of £5-50M.
