Job Title: Senior Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning industrial instrumentation and integrating it with plant systems. This is an on-site position that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare for instrumentation installation and commissioning activities on site
  • Provide guidance and support for instrument calibration activities
  • Assess requirements for spares
  • Work with the installation team to assess the as-built status against the design and best practice
  • Define and review commissioning methods and procedures
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise calibration and commissioning activities
  • Support mechanical and process disciplines with instrumentation expertise
  • Assess risks and contribute to mitigations and resolution of issues
  • Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians
  • Track and report status and progress
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex information
  • Delivery-oriented with the ability to set action plans and meet deadlines
  • Degree or HNC qualified in a relevant Engineering Discipline
  • Expert-level theoretical and practical knowledge of process measurement methods and instrumentation devices
  • Extensive experience in the practical application of instrumentation in the industrial context
  • Experience in commissioning and maintenance of final actuators and safety relief valves
  • Understanding of measurement and calibration uncertainty
  • Knowledge and experience in calibration methods and standards
  • Experience of site commissioning/operation/maintenance in thermal or nuclear power plant, oil/gas/petrochemical, or other heavy industry
  • Familiar with industrial construction/commissioning site work control and safety management
