Job Title: Senior Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer

Assystem GmbH is a leading international company accelerating the energy transition worldwide. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning of industrial instrumentation and its integration with plant systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans for industrial instrumentation
  • Provide guidance and support for instrument calibration activities
  • Assess requirements for spares and materials
  • Collaborate with installation teams to assess as-built status against design and best practices
  • Define and review commissioning methods and procedures
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise calibration and commissioning activities
  • Support mechanical and process disciplines with instrumentation expertise
  • Identify and mitigate risks, and resolve issues
  • Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians
  • Track and report status and progress
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Delivery-oriented with the ability to set action plans and meet deadlines
  • Degree or HNC qualified in a relevant Engineering Discipline
  • Expert-level knowledge of process measurement methods, constraints, and associated instrumentation devices and standards
  • Extensive experience in the practical application of instrumentation in industrial contexts
  • Experience in commissioning and maintenance of final actuators and safety relief valves
  • Understanding of measurement and calibration uncertainty
  • Knowledge and experience in calibration methods and standards
  • Experience of site commissioning/operation/maintenance in thermal or nuclear power plants, oil/gas/petrochemical, or other heavy industries
  • Familiarity with industrial construction/commissioning site work control and safety management
