Right Now Recruitment is seeking an Air Freight Import Specialist to become a vital part of a leading global logistics provider. This position is tailored for individuals with a minimum of one year of experience in the air import sector, ideally having progressed from a trainee or junior role within their current organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the complete import process of consignments from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinating and booking transportation logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicating with airline facilities regarding the arrival of shipments.
  • Executing customs clearance procedures using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS).
  • Fostering strong relationships with both external partners and internal teams to meet client needs.
  • Generating invoices and necessary transportation documentation.
  • Assisting with the discharge of T1 documents and the preparation of Carnets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in air import operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of import protocols and documentation.
  • Solid grasp of customs clearance processes and relevant codes.
  • Prior experience with CDS and Cargowise systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to collaborate effectively within a team, even under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to work weekends when necessary, with overtime compensation available for remote work.

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000
